SPAMbaffle 4.0 System Requirements

Item Requirements
Email Client SPAMbaffle will work with any email client, because it runs on the server, not on the client's computer.
Web Browser SPAMbaffle's filtering rules editor requires a modern browser supporting JavaScript/ECMAScript, CSS and DOM. For example, Netscape versions 6.0 and higher, Internet Explorer 5.0 and higher and Mozilla 1.0 and higher should work properly. Netscape 4.79 and lower, for example, do not support these standards properly and will not work.
Email Server SPAMbaffle requires QMail to be running on the server. We are investigating the possibility working with other server software, but only QMail is supported at this time. To find a place to download a free copy of QMail, click here.
Server Configuration

The server must allow CGI script execution, and the directory containing the CGI scripts must be able to be password protected.

Both QMail and the CGI scripts must be able to access files located in the users' home directories.

We do not officially support configurations where users do not have home directories, but is may be possible to set up global filtering rules for all users on such systems. We will investigate that possibility and look into ways to support such installations more fully in the future.
